HI my name is Lara and I have made this Moai drawing  after we read a story called Island in the Sun. I did some more research and learned about Moai. They were made out of tuff which is from volcanic mountain rock.

For Calendar Art, I learned how to make different patterns. I loved making the pattern I liked a dog the best. You can buy mouse pads, calendars, mugs, notebooks and cards with my artwork from the school office. This supports our school fundraising. Below is my

At Shantytown we learnt how to solve mysteries. Some of us had school uniform on so we changed in to old fashion clothes. We had to put on a white cap and an apron under the dress we came in. The boys that had uniform on had to dress into a hat and and a t-shirt. We had a lot of fun we stayed there for a day and went back at 2:14 we did lots of fun activities my favorite was fingerprinting. There was a fingerprint on the window so we had to polish it with a brush then we push it on a paper and stick it on our paper.

Skinks are a type of Lizard. They eat crickets , moths,  slugs, earthworms slaters,grasshoppers , small spiders ladybugs, earwigs, and ants,. Skinks bite but nothing bad happens. Skinks are really little if you touch their skin it hurts  the skink and they have a long tongue. Skinks like to hide under rocks and go in dark spaces. They are scared from big nosies. We got some from Jamie’s Taua. We released them next to the memorial. One of the skinks went under a piece of wood.  They looked really happy with their new home.
